About

The Animal Show is the brainchild of Edward Gottfried, a six-foot-plus Tennessean who is currently a junior at Bowdoin College in the murky depths of Maine, and is currently co-edited and run by David Jacobs, a New York boy with a heart of gold. The Show has been up and running since before noon, December 22nd, 2008. What a long, strange trip it’s been.

All links are provided in order to expose you, the readers, to new music.  The Animal Show supports listening for free wholeheartedly, and see blogs as being part of providing that listening experience, like radio, except cooler and with fewer ads. And maybe less personality. I don’t know; I never really listened to the radio.

The Animal Show would like to thank Frosted Miniguns for all his help and support. Being the official mascot for a blog is no easy job, and no 2000-pound brute is better suited for it than a poorly photoshopped elephant.

This is Alphabetikos, the mascot of the Animal Show. He'll help me stampede into 20-09.

Thanks, Frosted Miniguns!

Many thanks also go to Louis Seabury Weeks for a nasty case of the hiccups.
